Ann, what you found is accurate and I hope that your moodle is working well. For many people, running Moodle 2.2 will be fine. With your GoDaddy hosted server, you can start using Moodle and get a feel for how it works and how to use it in your school.
And you are doing so at a very low cost (like less than $5/month).
Eventually, however, you might find that you want to upgrade to the latest version. Maybe by that time, GoDaddy will be providing some (easy) form of upgrading mySQL and PHP.
