Re: Moodle update- Moodledata files disappeared

by Ken Task.

At this point, the moodledata folder has been converted to a 2 and think your only option is to continue to move forward.

Your hosting provider (justhost.com) appears to offer php 5.3.3 but could not find the MySQL version in their knowledge base/FAQ on their site but a blog says they have at least MySQL 5.0.45.  They appear to offer what is required to run a version 2.2 (Requires: PHP 5.3.2, MySQL 5.0.25) which, I think, is the recommended version one would upgrade to in the first step in a migration from 1.9.x to 2.x.

The most important file you have in your moodle code directory right now is the config.php file.  Download that file to assure you have an archive of it.

Use the version 2.2.10 tar.gz file to upload to justhost.com account.

Make sure you copy the config.php file you've archived into the newly created moodle directory in your hosting space.

Try the migration from 1.9.x to 2.2.10 again.

Hopefully, it will migrate.

'spirit of sharing', Ken
