Total newbie here so, pre-apologies for any bad practice.
I have seen previous posts on this topic , but with no real feedback which might help me sort this one.
I am trying to install Moodle 2.5 onto an empty drive in a Windows 7 environment - the routine guide's instructions went perfectly until I got the above error message.
Is it really as simple as extending the execution time for the php.ini file? some previous posts indicate not, so what happened then?
Are there any obvious lines in the php file which are known to cause this problem which I might remove, and what effect has their removal/extraction?
finally, does anyone have a preferred editor for php.ini modifocation?
thanks.
