We should try to understand what asker feeling and saying. To be honest he tells the fact. Moodle have no proper update system and documentation unfortunately. Update related documentation scattered everywhere and new users like me have no idea where to start.
Under Notification menu there is a funny and useless check button which takes you no where and I can do the same thing by visitting moodle.org.
I am using Wordspress and Joomla actively and updates are since long time 1 click only! If such level needs more time for Moodle, I understand that but then documentation should help the users meanwhile.
Thankfully you gentlemen here and we keep asking and patienly you guys answering much appreciated that. By following moodle docs I wouldn't be able to install it honestly. When I install the moodle, I took note every each step and at the end, when I compare my documentation with Moodle Docs, I realized that there was some unfortunate differences and lack of documentation on Moodle's side.
Dealing with Linux already pain for us as we are coming fom Windows empire ))
However, there is a absolute great update frequency with Moodle when we compare any other CMS. Developers are working like bees, it's amazing. I strognly believe, a product whihc has such extra active update strategy, must not underestimate the idea of 1 click update feature integration.
