I am attempting to install MOODLE 2.5+ just to check it out; it was downloaded using git. I am on a shared hosting server via GoDaddy, Windows/MS SQL, with the data folder not above root.
Did you ever figure this problem out? I am getting the exact same behavior with an Internal Server Error right after clicking the "Continue" at "Server Checks" and it takes me here: /admin/index.php?agreelicense=1&confirmrelease=1&lang=en
