Well, you've been all over the map with this.  Sorry you are having issues, but much depends upon hosting provider and one's knowledge of directories and paths.  Evidently, your provider has given some information to you (compared to the other postings on the same subject).

It appears you are getting closer, but the error reported now tells you what the issue is:

/eHalal/ is not writable by the web server user.  Think that needs to be a full path.

Suggest changing that path to
/hermes/bosoraweb111/b2439/glo.unolabs/eHalal/moodledata

eHalal has to be writeable by the web server user.  Since you've not mentioned (in this latest posting) what one is running for a web server, am assuming apache.  Therefore, eHalal permissions has to allow the apache user and apache group to be able to read and write to that folder.

Since that appears to be an area to which you have access one could create that folder manually and make sure it is readable/writeable by the web server user.

If you do not know what user that should be, check with hosting provider.

'spirit of sharing', Ken
