Thank you for these suggestions Ken. I am following your leads to see what I might find. I have successfully transferred and restored the courses to another MOODLE using version 1.9.11. These restored courses successfully backup on 1.9, but not 2.5. The courses are in Spanish, which may have issues using extended character sets in activity titles, etc.; although, my French courses have such titles and backup without error in 2.5. I have been using Moodle since 2003; version 1.1, I believe. As a Moodle administrator of several sites, I realize that I really need to devote more time to upgrading my own skills in Unix, PHP, and network protocols (i.e., security). Image may be NSFW.
