Hi. I've upgraded moodle successfully in the past, but the update to 2.5.1 is failing. I get the screen saying the moodle file have been changed and upgrade is going to be installed. Continuing brings up the server checks, which are all met. The upgrade fails at the next step. There is about a 30 second wait, then I get a server error:
The website encountered an error while retrievinghttp://nwed.co.uk/moodle/admin/index.php?confirmupgrade=1&confirmrelease=1. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Error code: 500
The server is a linux/apache server at my hosting company (34sp.com)
PHP is 5.3.3
I don't have access to a php.ini file myself
I have no shell access
I can run scripts if I put them in the cgi folder
I have looked at the only errors logs accessible (statistics/logs) but they don't show any error at the time.
Can anyone help. I have emailed my web host to ask them to increase my php.ini memory if it is 128 or below, as that's all that I can find in other similar posts.
Anyone have any ideas about how to troubleshoot further?
Thanks. David
