Thanks Ken,

I have the Business package on 1 &1. Can't find any one click installers and I have sent them an email asking if it can be added to my package.

I installed Moodle manually, as per instruction of Moodle.org and book.

I am installing to a subdomain and think that some of the suggestions below may also have an impact upon whats happening.
