Moodle 2.6.1+ library mailer error

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum.

Mananged to get Moodle 2.6.1+ running on a Ubuntu 12.04/Nginx/Postresql setup.

However, when ever I try to change email address then [Update profile], I get a "could not send email!" error and I see this in the logs -- "ERROR: The following From address failed: <my-email-address-her> : MAIL FROM command failed,503,5.5.1 Error: send HELO/EHLO first"

Mail server is a postfix SMTP.

Tested mail server using telnet from moodle server and it does relay mails from command line.

Does anyone have any advise/tips/pointers on how to resolve this issue?
