Total newby, trying to install moodle on Mac 10.6, downloaded moodle package for standalone (not on server), after unzipping placed map in programs, searched for a starting point via the browser, but something appeared to be missing (the desription of files didn't seem tot match with the download). Secondly, a database must be created. Does MySQL come with the download? Are there any guidelines for the structure of the database or is it totally dependent on the needs of the course I have chosen to produce? What search terms are the best for me to search in this forum (I'm Dutch, so I do have some problems with naming my information needs in these matters...). If all the answers are already present in the forum topics, I would appreciate greatly any pointers to past postings that could be of help (to prevent redundancy in the answers). Thanks!
