Hello everyone,
I'm brand new to moodle and am installing it step by step using the instructions in this article http://docs.moodle.org/26/en/Installing_Moodle
I installed Moodle on a server. Using cPanel I managed to configure 'cron' (whatever that is) - but I haven't received any email so I'm not sure if it's working (the article seems to imply that I would receive an email which would confirm it?)
I have just arrived at this sentence:
"set paths to du, dot and aspell binaries" ... huh?
after searching cPanel, Googling, and searching this forum, I am no wiser.
Can somebody tell me, in simple English, where to find these, how to set them up, and are they really necessary? (because if not, I'll just skip this step)
