Truth in attempting to assist ... don't have freehosting.com accounts.

Is this true free hosting as in freehosting.com?   Normally, I wouldn't advise this, but considering ... you might try something like this ...

According to their information, they off Scriptulous (or whatever it's called) installation of 2.6.1.   If one is not really familiar with how freehosting.com sets up things for customers, suggest using their Script thang to install Moodle.   One can then inspect how/where it installed - especially the config.php file.  Download that file and use as a reference.

Leaving directories, in place, remove the code and the contents of moodledata directory with exception of their .htaccess file.   Drop their database, import your .sql backup.  Upload the code and upload the contents of your backup of moodledata minus any .htacess file.   Check permissions/ownerships.

That might throw your site into a minor - within series upgrade.    That's ok ... if freehosting.com hasn't restricted things to prevent it from happening.

Just one word of caution ... these scripts do make it easy (somewhat) to install, but DO NOT upgrade within a series or upgrade to the next highest version.  After a while, one could be running an in-secure site.   Are there freehosting.com forums, etc. for customers?   Check them out for methods/means of upgrading what scripted installs they offer.

They do have a members area: https://www.freehosting.com/client/knowledgebase.php

and looks like they are using FB: https://www.facebook.com/freehosting.community

Anyone in these forums host anything at freehosting.com?   Might jump in here and correct anything I suggested. ;)

'spirit of sharing', Ken
