Thanks for the reply, yes the update runs fine manually.
After 10min it was still stuck, the timeout does not appear to do anything. It does not get past the first loop of foreach ($scorms as $scorm) {.
From what it appears the $DB->get_recordset_sql($sql); is locking the table/record?
Then when it gets down to $DB->update_record('scorm', $scorm); it is stuck waiting for the previous query to release the record which never happens as it stuck in that loop.
