I have a Mac Pro which I have been running Moodle on for over a year with no problems, but I decided to upgrade the computer to OSX Mavericks (10.9.2) from Lion which also included updating the Mac Server application to 3.1.
After the update I can't seem to get back into Moodle. I get the "Error: Database connection failed" page. I have a suspicion that it is a problem with an incorrect path somewhere, but I can't find it!
When I look under System Preferences>mySQL it says that the Server Instance is running and it looks good. I have looked at the config.php file under moodle and the paths look correct there too. I was getting an error with permissions to the dataroot location, but I fixed the permissions and that error went away.
PhpMyAdmin is working as I can get to it at localhost/phpmyadmin. Logging in and looking at stuff is fine there too. In the Mac Server application under websites, I have PHP web applications enabled.
I think the problem may be a path problem with PHP, which is installed on the computer using HomeBrew. Can someone tell me where else I could check for path problems besides config.php? Or have any other ideas what is wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help at all.
