Moodle 2.6.2+ Install fail

I get this error when connecting to mysql...

Error: database driver problem detected

The site administrator should verify server configuration

PHP has not been properly configured with the MySQLi extension so that it can communicate with MySQL. Please check your php.ini file or recompile PHP. MySQLi extension is not available for PHP 4.

My server specs:

Apache version 2.2.25

PHP version 5.3.26

MySQL version 5.1.73-cll

Architecture x86_64

Operating system linux

Perl version 5.10.1

Kernel version 2.6.32-220.2.1.el6

Downloaded version of moodle

Moodle 2.6.2+
MOODLE_26_STABLE

I also want to know what files and folders need for write and read permissions, i do this with my FTP program.
