Likely Cruft from Moodle 1.x in Dataroot

volgens Greg Padberg.

We are currently running Moodle 2.5.6 and all is well.  We are using the same Moodle installation since 1.6.1 but several server upgrades later it has been upgraded to Moodle 2.5.6 and I am again planning migration to a new server.  There seems to be some cruft from a much earlier version of Moodle in the dataroot folder (moodledata), with can anyone tell me if it can be safely deleted?

Normal dataroot (new installation) contains directories for cache, filedir, muc, temp, trashdir.

The cruft seems to be a lot of numbered directories (between 1 and 445) that are many years old and corresponds to when our server was still probably running Moodle 1.x.

Can anyone tell me if all the numbered directories in the Moodle dataroot (moodledata) folder can be safely deleted?
