Hi all

Thanks for participating here.

I gave up using Virtualbox for Red5. In VB my IP is 10.0.2.15 which is another scope than my computer and I do not know how to cope with that. Now I have got access to VMware and have installed an Ubuntu server there with a static IP. It works (as Apache say), but unfortunately working in the VMware console without the GUI or at least a windows manager, this is getting too long haired/cumbersome to me, not familiar with VI either, so my next plan is to build the Red5 test server upon a Xubuntu desktop in VMware and the Moodle server in Virtualbox, which I prefer instead of the VMvare console.

If my desktop were a Linux machine I would have installed Apache and Red5 on that and let Virtualbox run the Moodle server on a Xubuntu desktop installation. So perhaps that were an idea for you, John?

Bente
