Hi Therene,
It seems that you installed Moodle in a directory named "courses"; did you? Was it a fresh install or an upgrade? And if the latter, from which version did you upgrade? What about the version numbers of the other server components?
Anyway, you need to open the Moodle config.php configuration file and fix the value of the $CFG->dirroot parameter, it should have the address (URL) used to access the Moodle installation, for example: http://yoursite.com/moodle.
