I did two upgrades from 2.7 to 2.8 via git last Tuesday, and both had a bunch of addons. All I had to do was make sure all the addons were still there before triggering the upgrade process. Went without a hitch. Have not noted any problems with the addons, to date, just a couple problems with Moodle 2.8. Have to have email column showing for the grade book to scroll the way it is supposed to now and Automatically reopen an assignment until passing grade reopens no matter what the passing grade is set for and no matter what grade you give. Works fine when set for manual reopen.
