Sorry I think I may be managing to confuse now.
See two attached screen shots showing the issue I am having.
screenshot10 shows side by side test internal server on the left and current external on the right.
This is in the Course Category area of the site in the description box.
screenshot11 shows a course page with missing image in the description area.

P.s. yes debugging is active and if I Right click on the missing image in the screenshot11 it just take me to a blank page... actually it is a blank image as it shows the little + magnifying glass icon and if you click it it expands the page as if you were viewing the image full size. Obviously right clicking on a broken image in screenshot10 just takes you through to the course page.
