trying to register a site

hello

      i had to re install moodle 2,8.  now when i try to register the site i get the following error:

You are trying to register a site with a URL that was previously used by another registered site. A request has already been sent to the site administrator of this other site.

The problem is that i never get the email to confirm.

And moodle has no option to delete the prior registration.

please help. 

it has been very herd t install this software, I have bee trying to install for 2 weeks now,,every time i resolve one problem i run into another.
