Suggest 'double checking' ... go to:
Site Admin, Server, Environment check.
Click update component in upper right hand corner of that screen. Then select the target version of Moodle in the drop down list.
All green?
Also suggest researching any addon plugins for compatibility with desired target version of moodle. Themes are plugins.

I am trying to finish the upgrade from 3.9 to 3.11
The system gets to the checking of the system; all green!
I then get a list of everything that is going to be upgraded; 324 out of 466 plugins
Most are standard, though there are a few Microsoft additionals, the Fordson theme and our MIS system plugin
I scroll to the bottom and click on Upgrade Moodle database now
On a previous run through this worked but then stopped at one of the Microsoft plugins (everything marked as Success, including the Microsoft one). No spinning icon and no button to click on.
On restarting the page, I get back to this point but now all I get when I click on the upgrade button is an error page:
This page isn’t working (HTTP ERROR 500)
Any ideas what I should do to resolve this?
I'm thinking delete the additional plugin folders and re-instate them once completed but not sure if this would allow it to complete.

I'm less keen to remove the Wiris filter, since I'm not convinced this is an additional plugin. any ideas?
Wiris is indeed a plugin (not part of core) ... and it's 'special' in that it has 'dependencies'.

After sleeping on the two issues I had with Wiris and our MIS integration tool, I am pondering if this might be an installation file?
Due to other issues, I had to leave the system uploading our new Moodle site at work. I then continued the installation at home, assuming that the upload had continued without issue.
However, is there a possibility that the upload failed and it only affecting these two plugins?
Should I try uploading Moodle, telling the system only to upload any files not on the remote site?
Are there issues with that approach?
