Problem updating Moodle 3.11.2+
A problem arose during the regular Moodle update; after clicking the “Moodle update” button, the site goes into hiatus and the nginx 502 Bad Gateway error appears.
The update cannot be canceled; the work of administrators is paralyzed.
Dear, I ask for help, how can I cancel the update and return to normal work?

Svar: Re: Problem updating Moodle 3.11.2+
Thanks for answering. The Moodle administrator decided to install the plugin, started the process of updating the plugins, everything stopped at this action and it is impossible to go back (it is possible to recover from the backup, but I was informed late and the users managed to work for several days). Centos 8 Stream system, nginx.
There is an update button, when you press it, the system goes into error 502, after which it seems to reboot and asks to update again, then the same thing repeats. I have taken up backups and am experimenting on virtual machines on how to get around this situation.
I tried (on a copy) to update 3.11.2+ to the more recent 3.11.18 - the “installation” loaded, but after it went through it immediately gave me a 502 error.

Thanks for de adivices though!

Re: Custom CSS modifications when upgrading moodle version
If you modify core files for appearance changes, upgrading is much more difficult.
If you modify appearance using the custom CSS dialog box in a theme, upgrading is easy (relative to CSS.)
However, if you keep good notes about which files you have changed, then your notes can help guide you.
If you copy old core files into a new Moodle, you take a chance of crashing your new Moodle. Make backups and proceed slowly.

Just to update,
The Adaptable update solved the issue.

Re: Changed the timed format to 12 hours but still not reflecting
The only way I know how to change the time formats is to modify custom language strings (see https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=357877). However, this will make no difference at all to forms.
I don't believe it can be done. Unless anybody else knows differently.
Bootleneck while upgrading to Moodle 4.4 - Sodium for IIS server
I'm trying to upgrade our site from Moodle 4.0 to Moodle 4.4, also upgrading PHP 8 to PHP 8.2, Our site is hosted in IISserver and it works fine so far. But while upgrading, we have difficulties including the Sodium library, we have instructions to include sodium only for Apache and not for IIS environment.
Any help on this would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Missing Moodle Security Alert 4.1.10 notification
Hi,
I have several moodle sites registered, and I normally receive notifications about new versions on the same day they are published. However, this was not the case with version 4.1.10 released this past monday. I have not canceled or updated my subscription to the alerts bulletin. Has anyone else experienced this?
Regards

Re: Changed the timed format to 12 hours but still not reflecting
Hi Howard, the Link that I shared previously https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Timeformat Mentions that administrators can change the Time format. I am not sure which link you are looking at.
Re: Changed the timed format to 12 hours but still not reflecting
I think it's a proposal for a new feature, not one that exists.
