Hello,
I am a very new Moodle admin, and am in charge of upgrading from Moodle 2.51 to Moodle 2.7 this summer. I attempted to do the upgrade this afternoon, and after much struggling, I made some progress. My issue is that now, when I hit my Moodle site, I'm getting a message that I don't have access to /moodle. I am able to access my /moodle.backup site. I have gone through so much documentation on this site, and haven't found anything that is helping me yet. I did set security on the Moodle directory, using the information as follows:
chown -R root /var/www/html/moodle
chmod -R 0755 /var/www/html/moodle
During the installation, I did use cp moodle.backup/config.php moodle to copy the config file over to the new Moodle directory. I do not have a .htaccess file located in the Moodle directory, and don't have one in the backup directory either.
I know very little about Linux, so this is getting to be really frustrating! I'm not really sure where to go, or what to do, to get this resolved. We are currently running this on CentOS 6. If there is any other information you need from me, please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Kelly
