I knew about that site you have linked, of course, but I have read it once more - and this time more carefully - after I had read your post. I guess, this is what I have missed:
- To fix any internal Moodle links, login to your "new" Moodle install on your new server and use the Search and replace admin tool to search and replace the old url for the new one in the database.
I guess, the absolute links in the database are causing my decribed problems. I think i will repeat the migration tomorrow and let you know about the success (hopefully ).
