I want to be able to send emails from moodle

Hi I want to send emails from moodle. I don't want to be able to receive anything. It is just like sending a password reset email for example. Where can I configure the email account settings? I understand that moodle has built in email server but I don't need that. I have my own server I just want moodle to connect to it and send an email from it.
